Man is the wolf of man -- Roman adage

After being bitten by a werewolf and killing his best friend, college student Caden Lawson flees--desperate to protect his girlfriend, Tiffany. But leaving is the worst thing he could have done.

The man hunting him feeds on death, creating zombie slaves from his victims. And he'll use Tiffany, alive or dead, to get to Caden.

Please. Spoilers, without alerts, is just a sign that you're a novice podiobooker. PLEASE. Don't spoil it for those that HAVE NOT listened to the book! I plan to listen to the story, and would prefer for there to be a surprise. Damaging it for others - that's just not ...

It was a very entertaining read. It felt a lot like Scott Siggler's work, but without the needless gore and irritating characters. There were some scenes that could have been left out or shortened. There were others that happened off-screen that I would like to see, such as the attempted suicide. A few other scenes would have felt stronger if tweaked. There were also several loose ends. While the characters were fleshed out well, it would have been nice to know more about their histories. I did enjoy the fact that the main character was not perfect, yet he was not an idiot or brute either. He was very realistic. The supporting characters we're also intriguing. The pacing was very good. There were not tons of fight scenes, but there were enough dramatic scenes to keep the story moving. Writing itself was very smooth and engrossing. Descriptions were not purple prose, but they were also not lacking in detail either. some of the characters could have used or explanation of their motives. Good book overall.

ARG!!! I was loving this book right up to the end but then....... bam, left hanging. I have a few questions left unanswered that I feel would have rounded the story up nicely....... this would have been a 5 star for me, but alas, I felt I had to knock a couple off for the unanswered questions.

Likeable (and frighteningly unlikeable) characters and a twisty mashup of werewolf and evil scientist stories. There's some really good writing here, and a few bumps (a stretched metaphor here and there and the jump between "meeting with Mom" and "at the airport" had me checking that I didn't miss a ...

Really enjoyable. Great action and kept my attention. Author had the potential to be another Scott Sigler. It seems like the kind of book that could be great with a re-write. A lot of the characters developed in the beginning were never really accounted for later in the book. And ...

A werewolf novel wrapped up in a mystery, including mad scientists and the obligatory tragic love story. This story has all the makings of great entertainment and it doesn't fail to deliver. I'm looking forward to the sequel.

Deceptively Enjoyable

Wasn't too sure what to expect when I chose this book. However, I was not left disappointed. An engaging storyline with just the right amount of discriptiveness with excellent narration. Highly recommended.
