Famous for introducing the character of the vampire Count Dracula, the novel tells the story of Dracula's attempt to move from Transylvania to England so he may find new blood and spread the undead curse, and the battle between Dracula and a small group of men and women led by Professor Abraham Van Helsing.

Very good

(4.5 stars)

Excellent story. Great reading. A little odd to hear a female voice narrating mostly men's journals, but I got used to it. Thank you Kara for your time to do this.

Fantastic!

(5 stars)

Well read, with subtle voice variations for characters that were distinctive but not distracting. Excellent reading of a story that still fascinates today

consistent

(3.5 stars)

I liked the reading since it was consistent: same person, volume, tone, recording quality for the whole book. The downside: perhaps a little too cheerful, which didn't suit the gloomiest parts... I would have liked more mystery.

Well read and exciting

(4.5 stars)

You could tell the voice actor really enjoyed her work, which made the story more enjoyable. There were a few background sounds, but overall very good.

Good read

(4 stars)

The reader was good and read with enthusiasm but I was a little disappointed with the story itself as it was hyped up but enjoyable

Well read

(4 stars)

Excellently read and an enjoyable book. The only hindrance I may suggest that this book is written as journal entries, letters and memos in its entirety by different characters, so if the print option is available it may be easier to follow as a casual listen/reader, but the narrator does a great job nonetheless

Good reader good book but....

(3 stars)

The reader was so great but she kept swallowing loudly and incessantly throughout the book. Right into the mic. It sounds like a silly thing to complain about but she was literally in my ear and it drove me nuts. Without that I would have given her 5 stars. The book was great. I've been resistant to reading it, probably because it is so widely known and (poorly) adapted. I'm also not a huge fan of epistolary novels, or novels made up of journal entries that have been stitched together. However, it really works here, and each character brings something interesting to the story.

Great reading. Good book.

10 stars to Kara S. Flawless reading. Thank you. However the story tends to drag a bit at certain moments. The end was not the final showdown I was hoping for. Still a great story. 3.75 Stars for the book.
