I couldn't bring myself to give this any more than two stars. It's a weird children's fantasy from more than 100 years ago, about a little girl and her toys who are mysteriously transported to Toyland. As such, I feel the plot is best suited to very young readers. However, while not long, the book is more lengthy than I would expect for this age. And the vocabulary is quite advanced. Perhaps older children of the past were happy to read about toys. One saving grace in this story is the author avoided the moralising typical of her generation. It was simply a story, told for the story's sake.
