Obsession is a classic radio horror series that explores the dark and twisted aspects of the human mind. After the real-life terrors of World War II, audiences craved more dramatic programming, leading to the rise of macabre thrillers like this one. Produced independently by C. P. 'Chick' MacGregor, the show first aired on October 9, 1950, on WBBM in Chicago.
The program featured many radio greats, including Vincent Price, Ruth Warrick, and William Gargan. While the quality of the scripts varied, the eerie music and first-rate acting kept enthusiasts coming back for more. Obsession delves into the premise that our personal obsessions can lead to shocking and brutal outcomes, making it a compelling listen for fans of the genre.

I signed up just to post this warning. I'm glad I wasn't on headphones when I listened to the episode "Faith is the Evidence". During the long theme song near the beginning, there's a loud, terrible burst of static. This will pose a real risk to your ears if you use headphones, and it's awful to think of someone getting hurt.
