Thuvia, Maid of Mars (version 2)

Read by Thomas A. Copeland

(4.6 stars; 78 reviews)

John Carter's son, Carthoris, falls in love with his father's true friend, Thuvia of Ptarth, but she has been promised to another and is kidnapped by a third! Carthoris, suspected of the crime, spends the entire novel in efforts to rescue her and restore her to her fiancé. The adventures introduce to us a philosophical system or fringe science that challenges our conception of the nature of reality itself. (Summary by Thomas Copeland) (5 hr 16 min)

Another Excellent Reading!

(5 stars)

Thomas Copeland has impressed me as few others with the quality of his readings of the Warlord of Mars series! I strongly recommend that you listen to the series as read by Mr. Copeland!

Excellent as usual!

Another great story from Barsoom and superb reading by Mr Copeland!

Non-stop action and fast plot makes this a fun "read".

Middle of the road

I am a huge fan of both the Barsoom series and the reader. The pace this was read at and the mediocre voice inflection took away from a slightly weaker book. Still worth a listen though.

amazing vision

this the fourth book in the barsoom series every bit as good as one to three made all the better by the fantastic narration of Mr Copeland, my hat off to you sir

I'm still enjoying the series (although the parallels and/or repetition from one to the next is evident it is done creatively). Copeland is great to listen to and I'm looking forward to "Chessmen"

Carter + Copeland = 👍🏻❤️👍🏻❤️
