Very sweet story. Good reading. Excellent story for young ladies to hear.

What a disappointment. I thought Dorothy Dale would be much more fun and adventurous. Instead it's boring and tedious, with Dorothy constantly trying to reform people. And I think it must have been the first job for the ghost writer hired to write this book. She contradicts herself, leaves out information and of course, there's the boringness. The narrator wasn't to my taste either.
