Consistently good, and sometimes the bad guy gets away!
Virgly
Fabulous show, consistently good. Akin to Hitchcock, since the bad guys often get away with it--especially if the victim deserves it. Sometimes predictable, but I am good at predicting, so for those who are not, there will be many surprises. In fact, there is a "surprise" included at the end of each and every episode by "The Whistler" himself. One complaint only: While I ADORE whoever uploaded these, and I recognize how much work involved in that, I cannot download such a large file all at once. So at the risk of being an ingrate, is there any way you can upload these in batches of, say, 50 or so episodes, so that I can keep them for posterity? I already have quite a library, and I would LOVE to include "The Whistler"--I just don't have the speed (or whatever) needed to download a file with over 500 episodes all at once! If not, and I understand why, I will just have to content myself and my friends with listening only.
My name is Charlie
Jerimee Richir
Ghost: "My name is Charlie... My name's Charlie.... My name's Charlie!" Soon to be victim: "Only the wind." This is a collection of good old timey spookiness. The story conclusions aren't exactly Twilight Zone grade revelations, but still pretty good. If you are easily scared, these will scare you. And even if not, you'll still be mildly entertained. Tropes are on full display. The quality is good enough. I suspect an audio engineer could improve it somewhat. There is static and hiss typical of OTR recordings, but it isn't distracting or unpleasant necessarily. The voice acting is superb.
