The Wonderful Bed

Read by Lee Elliott

(4.7 stars; 10 reviews)

Little kids sent to stay the night with their Aunt Jane find themselves sharing an enormous bed. So enormous is it, that when they make a tent of the bed sheets and crawl in, they never make it to the foot of the bed, crawling instead into a dreamworld of caves and pirates and adventures. Great reading, lovely story

(5 stars)

My thanks go to Lee Elliott for her excellent reading of The Wonderful Bed. The character voices were consistent and believable and enhanced an already entertaining children's story. I'd never have encountered this particular tale without this recording and I enjoyed it immensely. The children in this are realistic, sometimes scared, sometimes naughty but always looking out for each other and I am happy to say they go through all their exciting adventures without learning any moral lessons at all.

Great Reader!

I enjoyed this story, but it was primarily due to the reader, Gertrude Knevels. She does a great job making the listener forget that there is only one reader.
