Simon Evers AS Basil King

(5 stars)

Simon Evers has narrarated many, if not all, of the Basil King novels. As a result, it feels as though you are listening to Basil King himself speaking the words to you first-hand. The Novel itself has me feeling all sorts of emotions....ohhhh how i want to choke that mother! lol March 2021

wonderful

I think that this is Basil King’s best book. Nobody could have narrated this book better than Simon Evers, thank you,JK.

BEAUTIFUL READER of POST WWI LIFE-SNAPSHOT

(5 stars)

I will leave more capable people to review this book by Basil King. Instead, I’d like to express my thanks to you for reading this to me, sir. I am handicapped with severe chronic pain which often leaves me curled up, without strength or will to hold a book. Your free gift is so very appreciated. P.S. Was that a little canary I heard, so cheerily (but quietly) singing in the background? I loved it 🥰

Reader saves the day!

(3.5 stars)

A standard "poor girl meets rich man and now he can't live without her" daydream hobbled too often by preachy, goofy politics and unnecessary psychological imaginings. Luckily the reader was on point (5 Stars to him) and managed to nimbly navigate through the worst of it.

Beautiful tale with deep meaning.

Beautifully read as usual. The characters so drawn out that you wanted the story to continue.

A wonderful book
