Michael Shayne 48 07 29 Case Of The Blood Stained Pearls
A frantic old man tries to get Shayne to protect him because he believes his friends are out to kill him for some pearls he found and claims to be worth a million dollars. After a jeweler privately tells Shayne the pearls are worthless, he turns the old man away and refuses to help, until the old man returns and dies with bullets in him, leaving Shayne with the pearls, and now someone is after him too.
