Exciting, confused, day-by-day eyewitness account of the Easter Uprising

(5 stars)

Wild rumors and bullets fly. Communications are down and a loaf of bread is not to be found in Dublin. Bloody and harrowing account. The last part of the book struggles with understanding the short Irish "war" days after it happened. What were its goals? What did it accomplish, if anything? What happens now?

a very good listen

(5 stars)

very good insight into the insurrection and very well read also, definitely worth a listen if Irish history interests you
