Because

4.7

A psychological thriller by the BAFTA-winning writer Trevor Preston. Ruth was a successful investigative journalist until a terrible accident in France. Her physical recovery now takes second place to her desperate need to remember what really happened that night. Only recovering that memory can allay the fears that fill her every thought.

This gripping drama features a talented cast including Raquel Cassidy as Ruth, Caroline Catz as Dr. Quinn, Jasmine Hyde as Elsa, and many others. Directed by Toby Swift, this production showcases the depth of storytelling that Trevor Preston was known for.

Knee-jerks

Brilliant acting and sound design. There's a lot going on here, I've added it to my "listen again" pile. It's a little dated - which is kind of a danger for anything topical. However the editor has bookended the play with some BBC soundbytes which really serve to illustrate just how relevant this material remains today. My title is a reference to a central piece of this play - which (even though only touched on briefly) is about how hatred & violence self-perpetuate. Nomad, thanks for all of your great uploads, much appreciated.
