Vox Bopp is a wry tribute to the Hale-Bopp comet, originally aired on BBC Radio 4 FM on October 23, 1998. Directed by Claire Grove, this play features a talented cast including Kerry Shale as Thomas Bopp, Ian Porter as Alan Hale, and Alison Pettitt as Lorna, along with Rachel Atkins, Kate Harper, Gavin Muir, David Brooks, and Shiv Grewal.

The Hale-Bopp comet was an unusually bright comet that made its closest approach to Earth in 1997, providing a spectacular sky show. It was visible to the naked eye for about 18 months and was likely one of the most viewed comets in history, being 1,000 times brighter than Halley's Comet at the time of its discovery.
