Adventures of Frank Merriwell
Unexpected Game
by
Frank Merriwell is a young athlete whose adventures bring together sports, school life, and tests of character. The series follows Frank and his companions through situations where courage, fair play, and quick thinking matter as much as athletic skill.
Presented as a radio adventure, the program uses dialogue and dramatic action to bring its stories to life. Its focus on competition and friendship gives the episodes an energetic, youthful feel, with the excitement of a sporting challenge balanced by lessons about loyalty and doing what is right.
Listeners can expect an old-fashioned adventure centered on an idealistic hero and the people around him. The title “Unexpected Game” suggests a story connected with sport, while the series’ broader appeal lies in its blend of action, camaraderie, and moral resolve.
