Information Please is a lively radio quiz program built around questions from listeners and the quick-witted panelists who try to answer them. The show’s appeal comes from the contrast between the audience’s often challenging queries and the panel’s broad knowledge, sharp repartee, and willingness to joke along the way.

Rather than following a dramatic plot, each broadcast unfolds as a sequence of questions and answers, with the host guiding the discussion and keeping the exchanges moving. The panel draws on subjects ranging from history and literature to science and everyday curiosities, turning the quiz into an entertaining conversation as well as a test of knowledge.

The result is an intelligent, conversational program with a playful tone: informative without feeling like a lecture, and lively enough for listeners to enjoy the personalities as much as the answers. This recording features Walter B. Pitkin.
