Information Please
Paul Gallico and Arthur Garfield Hays

Information Please is a lively radio quiz and conversation program built around questions from listeners. A panel of knowledgeable guests takes on topics drawn from history, literature, science, and everyday life, while host Clifton Fadiman guides the discussion with wit and an easy command of the proceedings.
The pleasure comes from hearing the panel reason through questions in real time: answers may be confident, surprising, or delightfully uncertain, and the exchange often wanders into anecdotes and spirited conversation. The program combines the challenge of a quiz with the spontaneity of an informal gathering, making knowledge itself the source of entertainment.
Its tone is bright, urbane, and good-humored rather than formal. Listeners can follow the questions along, test their own knowledge, and enjoy the panelists’ distinct personalities as they trade ideas and jokes. This broadcast features Paul Gallico and Arthur Garfield Hays among its guests.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
