Reviews

Very interesting English biograhies

(5 stars)

The author does an excellent job of giving us interesting overviews of 16 different outstanding English Women and she manages to do this in just an average of 11 minutes per character. In the beginning chapters you will see that our continental ancestors all seemed quite insane - spending their lives fighting over who should rule over them and engaging in wars over religion. It is clear that each character would warrant an entire book devoted just to them. You will find many of these stories quite moving. If you love history as I do, you will find this book very rewarding. Narrator Laura Caldwell is unequaled.
