Author's Playhouse

He Woke Up Famous

English · Short Stories, Dramatic Readings

Author's Playhouse presents radio dramatizations of short stories, bringing literary fiction to life through performance and sound. Each broadcast centers on a self-contained story, with actors conveying its characters and events in dialogue and narration.

The program offers a varied selection of dramatic material rather than following one continuing cast or storyline. Its title points to the authors and their works as the focus, while the radio adaptation turns each piece into an intimate listening experience shaped by voices, atmosphere, and the imagination of the listener.

This recording is identified as “He Woke Up Famous.” The series suits listeners who enjoy classic short fiction presented as radio drama, with a complete story unfolding through spoken performance.

This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
