Big Jon and Sparkie

A Sudden Change in the Climate

English · Radio

Big Jon and Sparkie is a children’s radio program centered on Big Jon, a friendly storyteller, and Sparkie, his lively marionette companion. Their conversations and adventures bring a playful, imaginative spirit to the show, with Sparkie’s curiosity and comic personality providing a lively counterpoint to Big Jon’s warmth.

The program combines character dialogue with stories and light entertainment for young listeners. In “A Sudden Change in the Climate,” the title suggests a story built around an unexpected shift in the weather, offering a child-friendly setting for the pair’s exchange.

Gentle humor, an engaging central duo, and the intimacy of radio storytelling give the program its distinctive appeal. It is a cheerful listen for families and anyone drawn to classic children’s radio and its blend of make-believe and companionship.
