by
Rudy Vallee brings his easygoing charm to a variety program built around music, comedy, and guest appearances. The title identifies Ruth Etting and D'Vaughn Pershing as featured guests, offering listeners a glimpse of the performers sharing the broadcast with Vallee.
As a radio variety show, the program centers on spoken introductions and musical entertainment, with comedy and guest performances contributing to its mix. Vallee’s role as host gives the broadcast a conversational thread, moving between its different contributions rather than presenting a single continuous story.
The appeal lies in hearing a popular radio entertainer welcome fellow performers and shape a relaxed evening of variety. Music and personality are at the heart of the experience, making this a snapshot of the show’s guest-centered format.
