Dangerously Yours
The Highwayman
by
Dangerously Yours is a romantic adventure anthology hosted by Victor Jory. Each broadcast presents a self-contained story of love, danger, and intrigue, often set against a vivid historical or exotic backdrop. Jory’s polished, dramatic introductions give the program a distinctive sense of occasion, while the stories explore the risks and passions that accompany romance.
The series blends narration with radio drama, using dialogue, sound effects, and music to bring its tales to life. Its stories range across different settings and situations, offering listeners a succession of dramatic encounters rather than one continuing cast or storyline. The title’s promise of danger is matched by an elegant, theatrical style, making the program a mix of romance, suspense, and adventure.
This recording is titled “The Highwayman,” a story presented within that anthology format. The series is well suited to listeners who enjoy classic radio storytelling with a romantic edge and a confident, atmospheric host.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
