Sweet little story

(4 stars)

This is a typical sugary sweet FHB story. A nice listen to relieve your daily stress. The narrators all did a terrific job, every one of them were wonderful. Many thanks to the readers. Often stories with mixed readers have spotty narration but all of these ladies did a super job!

Not one of Burnett’s best stories

(2 stars)

Burnett is a fine author but this tale was rather cringeworthy in its predictability and shallowness. The characters are rather 2 dimensional. It reads like a romantic wish-fulfilment story written by a teenager.

Predictable, and bland

(1 stars)

Light years away from her "Little Princess," or "The Secret Garden."

(5 stars)

Excellent readers and plot. A sweet love story of a by gone day

(3.5 stars)

Cute, but hardly memorable compared to FHB's other romances.

Well, I Don't Know...

Enjoy her writing, and the story is well constructed, but I found it overly dramatic. I guess times have changed, but I kept thinking how the main character is ONLY SIXTEEN YEARS OLD!!! I'm from USA, but have grown fond of British readers. The various readers were tolerable if lacking lustre, and some of the pronunciations made me shudder. Definitely check out her other books.

worthy of a listen

I love most of FHB's stories. This one is a little overly romantic and unrealistic. Still, well read and worth listening to.
