Flower of the North finds Philip Whittemore on an adventure which takes him up the Churchill River of northern Canada to a land which he thought he knew. However, tucked in among the rocks and hills lies an unfamiliar outpost which he's been told is called Fort o' God whose inhabitants and history are shrouded in mystery. It is Jeanne D'Arcambal and her protector Pierre who have told him of this place, but there is so much which they haven't told him, including who they really are, where they come from, and their clouded past. Reviews

Good Book

(5 stars)

I love the twists and moral dilemmas that the author has in his books. It is nice to go back to the old days in the way portrayed by the James Oliver Curwood. Thanks to Roger Melin for making this book available for me to listen to.

CURWOOD STRIKES AGAIN

(5 stars)

I always think that I will solve the storyline of a Curwood novel, but I failed again. I cannot think of any author who more successfully blends great outdoor adventure with unabashed romanticism. Melin never fails to provide just the right touch. Thank you.

A Superb Book

This is by far one of the best books on LibriVox, full of adventure, suspense and romance, read by one of LibriVox's best readers. 5 stars plus!!

Wild West romance

Reread - didn’t want to miss something. Well and clearly narrated by Roger Melin. recommended for romance buffs and other people.
