this is a great book, and very well read. it is extremely interesting and the risks he took to make his films is amazing. I would like to suggest to anyone thinking of listening to this that once the writer starts his filming in France with the British soldiers go on the internet and watch the actual films he made ,you can see the events that he is telling us about it really enhances the whole thing. I think it is amazing that 100+ years later we can sit on the couch and watch this movie on a phone ! I wonder what Mr Malins would think of that !!!!!

Loved it! Great documentary and reader!

Enjoyed book a great deal. Vivid details of the kinomotogropher encounters in his day to day work of making video for public to see back at home. I was not expecting much from this book but was quite surprised at how good it was.

Awesome read!

It was an excellent book. It is a different outlook on the war and one I quite enjoyed. The book ended kinda abruptly and the reader was a little bit on the quiet side for me. Other than that it was perfect!

Well written, really holds interest, was never a boring section in the whole story. The reader was so good, I kept thinking he was the author.

Good WWI Story

There was only one thing that annoyed me a little. The reader kept mispronouncing the word "cinematography", but everything else was good.
