Manfred is a dramatic poem in three acts by Lord Byron, and possibly a self confessional work. A noble, Manfred, is haunted by the memory of some unspeakable crime. In seeking for forgetfulness and oblivion, he wanders between his castle and the mountains. He has several encounters with the people who try to assist him, as well as spirits that rule nature and human destiny. The poem explores themes of morality, religion, guilt and the human condition. epic.

They don't call him lord Byron for nothing! This is just great. It's epic in a Faustian way. It's emotionally moving and supernatural and, of course, it's centered around the ruins of a love.

Good Play

A Lord Byron fan

Fantastic! I love Lord Byron's works. I think TimSC does a marvelous job voicing his character, especially the tone of hopelessness and world-weariness in Manfred. Thanks again!
