Pleasant reading voice and speed!

The text used is not modernised, but MaryAnn reads it well to convey the meaning despite the less familiar vocabulary.

I believe there are two books in this world every Christian should read; number one, the Bible. Number two,The Pilgrim's progress. If you are a Christian my friend, you must read this. Would that all men would read this remarkable allegory regardless of state or religion. Believe it or not, the author prayed for every person that would read his book, The Pilgrims Progress. I now will join him in praying for you.
very enjoyable

I have listened to this book countless times now which is an indicator of how enjoyable it is to listen to a book I consider the best book anyone could ever read besides the bible. MaryAnn has such a beautiful voice and has a gift in her ability to bring to the listener the author's meaning bringing life to a book that is full of similtudes. Thank you MaryAnn for giving your time to make the audio book of Pilgrim's progress. I have been comforted and encouraged as I listen to this audiobook when I am bed bound and unwell which is often.
Excellent Reading by Mary Ann

Just went through Pappas' adaptation of Pilgrim's Progress. His American mind and shallow American humor grated on me. Tried Dick Worth, but his version was too small; read his book in less than 2 hours. Tried seeing films on PP; the one by Ken Anderson was below par, to say the least. Then checked out Librivox and found this gem. Beautifully read by Mary Anne. Five stars!
