The Canterville Ghost (version 2)

A modern American family move into a traditionally drafty and very haunted English mansion. So far so good but anyone knowing Wilde can expect twists and turns to make it interesting. In this cast the crusty old ghost has a tough time convincing the family he exists and then in frightening them. This is extremely frustrating of course to him and as the protagonist of the story, takes matters (and non-matters) into his hands to deal with the upstart and irreverent new tenants. A fun story. I avoid ghost stories as a rule but did enjoy this short one. Thanks for the lovely reading.

Narrator was just as captivating as the story! Great tale! I happened to listen to it on a rainy night, if only for the "mood" of a ghost story :)

I enjoyed the humor. The thought of a ghost getting frustrated by people that will not scare was a nice angle.

The narrator did a great job and although the book is short it is very sweet and enjoyable.
